Street Outreach Volunteer
Be a Lifeline on the Streets of Limerick
Every night of the year — hail, rain, or shine — the NOVAS Street Outreach team is out in Limerick City offering hot meals, a kind word, and critical support to people experiencing homelessness. It’s a lifeline for those with nowhere else to turn.
Our dedicated team of over 50 volunteers, supported by NOVAS staff, helps ensure that no one is forgotten. You can be part of that team.
What You’ll Do:
- Drive the Street Outreach Van (if you’re a licensed driver)
- Pick up and serve food to those in need
- Provide support and compassion to people living on the margins
Volunteer Details:
- Shifts run daily from 6pm – 8pm, 2 volunteers required each shift
- Volunteers typically commit to two shifts per month
- Choose the days/dates that suit your schedule
- Full training and ongoing support provided by NOVAS
This is more than volunteering — it’s showing up, listening, and making someone feel seen.

Fundraising Volunteers
At NOVAS, our fundraising efforts are vital to sustaining the services we provide to people who are homeless and at risk. We’re looking for reliable Fundraising Volunteers to join our team and provide support at key moments throughout the year.
This is a great opportunity to get involved in a meaningful way — helping with events, donation administration, donor stewardship, and other important fundraising activities.
What You’ll Do
As a Fundraising Volunteer, you might help with:
- Event support – from setting up and registration to bucket collections and selling raffle tickets
- Thank-you campaigns – writing cards to donors
- Admin support – helping with mailings, collecting donations, or general office tasks
You’ll be part of a friendly, supportive environment where your time and energy are truly valued.
Volunteer Details
- We’re Looking for volunteers with a positive attitude and willingness to help
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Occasional availability, especially around key events and campaigns in December
