NOVAS Food Partner

Donate food to people experiencing homelessness

Are you a restaurant, café, bakery or supermarket owner and have food left at the end of the day? Then you can help men, women and children experiencing homelessness or at risk of being homeless in your community.

Street Outreach food handout

The NOVAS Street Outreach is a lifeline for people in Limerick City. Every single night, 365 days a year, our Outreach Van helps some of the most vulnerable people by offering hot meals, drinks, toiletries, and staff and volunteers to talk to.

But we need your help to keep this vital service going.

We are looking for businesses that want to become a NOVAS food partner and support our Street Outreach Service.

Every night of the year we need:

  • approx. 50 hot dinners
  • approx. 50 sandwiches/wraps
  • approx. 50 sweet treats (cake, cookies etc.)

If you are interested in providing food, you will need to

  • be able to drop food off to Brother Russel House (Mulgrave St) by 5.30pm
OR be located in Limerick City Centre and be able to have food ready for pick up between 6 and 6.30 pm
  • follow HACCP food safety compliant practice

Hot meals need to be provided in suitable containers that are easy to use one handed and easy to dispose of.

Ideally, we are looking for partners that can commit to donating a set amount of food on a regular basis (e.g. 50 or 25 hot meals once a month or once a week), but we are also grateful and open to more flexible arrangements.

If you would like to become a NOVAS Street Outreach food partner or have any questions, please contact us at fundraising@novas.ie.
