There are so many ways that your school or college can get involved and help raise much needed funds for NOVAS. From a Sleep Out event to bake sales to non-uniform days, every euro
you raise helps us reach more people in need — providing food, housing, care, and hope..
Schools Sleep Out
The NOVAS Sleep Out is an event designed to help raise funds and awareness for homelessness – it gives a small insight into the challenges faced by people experiencing homelessness. Students get sponsored to brave the cold by swapping their warm beds for a sleeping bag and a piece of cardboard. We’re asking you to join us and help end homelessness. Your school can take part at any time of the year, and we will work closely with you to develop a personalised Sleep Out event for your school.
We will support you along the way by providing:
- Information about homelessness
- Guidelines for organising a safe Sleep Out
- An online donations page
- Fundraising support, encouragement and advice
- Marketing materials, t-shirts and signs
Do it Your Way
Here are some fundraising ideas for schools:
- Talent Show, Musical or Play
- Bake Sale
- Bike-a-thon
- Non-Uniform / Colours / Jersey / Fancy Dress / Christmas Jumper Day
We will help by providing:
- Promotion of your event on NOVAS social media
- NOVAS fundraising materials: signage, banners, t-shirts, sponsorship cards, buckets, and posters
- An online fundraising page if needed
- A big cheque presentation and photo opportunity after your event
